Spring Classes Offered at O’Neill Extended Campus

O’NEILL, Neb. -- The O'Neill extended campus is offering some classes on knitting and time management.

KNITTING: BEGINNER. Learn the basics of knitting as you make a garter stitch dishcloth. In this beginner class, you will learn how to cast on stitches, knit, and cast off. Upon registration you will receive a list of the materials you need to purchase before class begins. Register early to purchase your materials in advance. Wed., 6:30-8:30 p.m. in Room 132. KNITTING: INTERMEDIATE. Take your basic knitting skills to the next level and learn how to create a larger project, choosing either a scarf or a pillow. In this class, we will go over the basics of casting on and the knit stitch, and also learn the purl stitch. MEDICATION AIDE. This course is designed to prepare you to meet the requirements of the Medication Aide Act and the responsibilities of the medication aide in an assisted living facility and/or nursing facility. This course includes information regarding medication administration, pharmacology, rules and regulations, classification of drugs, orders, storage, abbreviations and an overview of commonly used drugs and documentation. Upon completion of this course, you are eligible to take the state administered written exam. After successfully passing this examination and completing the application procedure, your name will be placed on the medication aide registry at the Nebraska Health and Human Services Regulation and Licensure, Credentialing Division.
