NORFOLK, Neb. - Jai'lyn Spears, a member of the Northeast Community College men’s basketball team, hands out candy to one attendee at the Norfolk Lions Club parade on Saturday.
Spears, of Omaha, was among several students-athletes from Northeast’s men’s and women’s basketball and soccer teams and baseball and golf programs to walk in the event. “This was such a fun event for our student-athletes,” said Jerrett Mills, athletic director. “I received a lot of compliments about the student-athletes and how nice it was to see athletics back in the parade.”Northeast student-athletes participate in Norfolk Lions Club parade
