KOLN Morning Reporter-MMJ KOLN-TV, the strong market leader in the Lincoln/Hastings/Grand Island market, is looking for a Morning Reporter to join the area’s #1 morning show. You’ll be our morning eyes and ears on Lincoln, frequently going live and showing our viewers what’s breaking or developing overnight. General Responsibilities: • Responding urgently and appropriately to overnight breaking and developing news • Writing, shooting, and editing your own stories, and frequently running your own live shots • Generating your own story ideas, bringing fresh content to the morning newscast • Filling in as a show producer or anchor as needed • Be a multi-platform storyteller, with regular posts to social media and the station's website and news apps • Meet tight daily deadlines

Job Requirements

Qualifications: • Exceptional writing ability • Exceptional news judgment • Flexibility in scheduling, to respond to the changing news landscape • A four-year degree in journalism or related field, or equivalent professional experience • Familiarity with ENPS, Edius or other non-linear editing systems, TVU, Bitcentral, or ARC Publishing a plus Must have valid Drivers License with good driving record. Employment is contingent on successfully passing drug screen and driving record check. KOLN is the CBS affiliate in the Lincoln, Hastings, Kearney market.
