Testing Center

The Praxis Series is an Educational Testing Service (ETS) program that provides tests and other services for states to use as part of their teacher certification process. Colleges and universities use the Praxis Series assessments to qualify individuals for entry into teacher education programs. The tests used for licensing and certification processes include:

  • Praxis® Core Academic Skills for Educators (Core) Tests measure academic skills in reading, writing and mathematics. These tests were designed to provide comprehensive assessments that measure the skills and contact knowledge of the students entering teacher preparation programs.
  • Praxis II® Subject Assessments measure knowledge of specific subjects that K-12 educators will teach, as well as general and subject-specific teaching skills and knowledge.

If the student has any questions regarding Praxis Core® tests, please contact the Northeast Testing Center at (402) 844-7281, www.ets.org/praxis
