Gifts to College

NORFOLK – Two classrooms in Northeast Community College’s new Applied Technology building will bear the names of corporations that have provided equipment and support to the College.The Northeast Board of Governors has approved naming the classroom for the building construction program after the Norfolk Area Homebuilders Association, while the Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) classroom will feature the name of Black Hills Energy.

NORFOLK – Northeast Community College is the recipient of a significant donation by the corporation that provides natural gas to much of the College’s 20-county-service area. Representatives of Black Hills Energy have presented College officials with a $50,000 gift to be used to purchase equipment in Northeast’s new Applied Technology building. The presentation took place Thursday during a news conference prior to the regular monthly meeting of the Northeast Board of Governors.

O’NEILL – The campaign to raise $2.5 million for a new Northeast Community College extended campus in O’Neill has received another significant financial shot in the arm. The Holt County Visitors Committee has contributed $50,000 towards the project that will see a new complex constructed on Highway 275, next to the Farm Credit Services of America building in O’Neill.

(NORFOLK, Neb.) - The Northeast Community College Drafting Club recently presented a check for $500 to the TeamMates Mentoring Program and another $500 check to Bright Horizons Resources for Survivors of Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault.
