  • Classrooms to be named for NAHB, Black Hills Energy

    by jamesc  8/13/2015 11:36:27 AM --  NORFOLK – Two classrooms in Northeast Community College’s new Applied Technology building will bear the names of corporations that have provided equipment and support to the College.The Northeast Board of Governors has approved naming the classroom for the building construction program after the Norfolk Area Homebuilders Association, while the Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) classroom will feature the name of Black Hills Energy.

  • Northeast PTA graduates recognized

The 16 students from the Class of 2015 took part in a Recognition Ceremony before family, friends and faculty Sunday afternoon in the Lifelong Learning Center.

Six months ago, she was among the prospective candidates who successfully landed a job with the company after attending a similar event.

  • Northeast prepares to move into its new extended campus

    by jamesc  7/30/2015 3:29:55 PM --  O’NEILL – With construction coming to a close and classes beginning in less than a month, faculty and staff at Northeast Community College are beginning the process of moving into a new extended campus facility in O’Neill. Classes will begin in the College’s new operation at 505 East Highway 20 on Monday, August 24. They were previously held in a former elementary school building the College has used for a number of years at 409 East Adams Street.

  • Scholarship funds available to qualified former students

The funds are available to students who “stopped out” of college for a period of time or transferred to another college or university.

This included members of the Northeast Community College Phi Beta Lambda chapter.

It is often the perception that these types of facilities bring stable and relatively high paying jobs with them. While that is generally a true statement, it comes at a time when a study shows that Americans are reluctant to choose a career in manufacturing.

  • Welding Provides New Opportunities for Northeast Graduate

Now he has discovered that one move has already started to pay dividends just weeks after he earned his diploma in welding. “My educational experience at the college was not easy. It was stressful and tiring at times with all the studying that was needed. However, I did not let any of that stop me from succeeding.”
