Associate of Arts (A.A.) Degree

The Associate of Arts Degree requires the successful completion of a minimum of 60 credit hours in a liberal arts curriculum and is designed to transfer to a four-year institution. You must complete the required general education coursework. A full-time student who enrolls in an average of 15 credit hours each semester can typically complete this degree in two years.

Associate of Science (A.S.) Degree

The Associate of Science Degree requires the successful completion of a minimum of 60 credit hours in a course of study with a particular emphasis on science and mathematics. The degree is designed to transfer to a four-year institution. You must complete the required general education coursework. A full-time student who enrolls in an average of 15 credit hours each semester can typically complete this degree in two years.

Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) Degree

The Associate of Applied Science Degree requires the successful completion of career and technical education and general education coursework. The A.A.S. degree is designed primarily for students who plan to enter the workforce after graduation. You can earn the degree in two years if you complete the required coursework each semester for the A.A.S. degree of your choice.

Associate Degree in Nursing (A.D.N.)

The Associate Degree in Nursing requires the successful completion of 72 credit hours of nursing and general education coursework. The A.D.N. program prepares students for a career as a registered nurse. You can complete the A.D.N. program in two years if you complete the required coursework each semester.

Diploma

Diploma programs are designed to provide specific employment skills and require the successful completion of a minimum of 30 credit hours. You can earn a diploma in one year if you complete the required coursework each semester.

Certificate

Certificates are awarded for successful completion of a minimum of 16 credit hours in a planned curriculum of credit courses for a skill area. You can generally complete a certificate in less than one year.
