Advanced Cardiac Life Support

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is a nationally recognized program designed by the American Heart Association (AHA) for healthcare providers involved in the resuscitation of a patient, whether in or out of the hospital. The purpose of the ACLS Provider Course is for health professionals to acquire the knowledge and skills to evaluate and manage the first 10 minutes of a witnessed, adult cardiac arrest. The instructors will use a case-based approach to allow the participant to demonstrate cognitive knowledge and skills. This two-day course is designed for healthcare providers who either: have never attended an ACLS Provider course; are not comfortable with the ACLS content and skills; and have an expired ACLS card. All participants must be currently AHA verified in Basic Life Support. Participants must present BLS card on the first morning of class. Pre-course Requirements: Review of Manual and completion of ACLS Pre-course Online Self-Assessment test. Print test score and bring to class. Bring current BLS CPR card.
