Community WiFi is a closed and unsecured system. It is available to current students, faculty, and staff who wish to connect their personal internet enabled devices. All devices need to be registered in accordance with federal law in a closed system such as Northeast's Community WiFi.

Northeast's Community WiFi network does not encrypt data. Therefore, any information sent across this wireless network is in plain text. It is possible for others to snoop or intercept data transmitted using this unsecured wireless service.
