Scholarships
Northeast Community College offers students a number of scholarships, tuition waivers, and performance grants established by the College, by the NECC Foundation, and private organizations and individuals. Qualifications, deadlines, and amounts vary.
One online application is required for most of the Northeast Community College scholarships. Available November 21, 2011, you must submit the completed Online Scholarship Application no later than February 1, 2012, to be considered for scholarships for the 2012-2013 academic year. Once you have submitted the completed form, you will be considered for all Northeast scholarships for which you are qualified. The Northeast scholarship process is separate from the federal and state aid application.
A current Application for Admission must be on file with the NECC Admissions Office. For any scholarship requiring financial need, the Financial Aid Office must receive the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) results by March 1 prior to the academic year. Recipients must meet Northeast's
Financial Aid Standards of Satisfactory Academic Progress policy and the qualifications of the scholarship at the time of selection and at the disbursement of the scholarship dollars.
New scholarships are frequently available during the academic year and information is placed on the website, in the Financial Aid Office, and in the “What’s Happening” student newsletter.
