We are committed to our mission of educating students to meet the requirements of today's workforce. In line with this mission, we have a mandatory placement policy that requires students who score below minimum levels in reading, writing and/or math to take transitional coursework prior to enrollment into certain courses in order to develop their academic skills. The testing semester begins the day after the semester final grades are due in the registrar's office and ends the day the instructors' final grades are due in the registrar's office. Students may test or re-test twice a testing semester.

Prerequisite test required: COMPASS READING test with a minimum score of 64 and COMPASS WRITING test with a minimum score of 39
COMPASS READING post-test with a minimum score of 64 and COMPASS WRITING post-test with a minimum score of 39
ACT1 READING test with a minimum score of 14 and ACT1 ENGLISH test with a minimum score of 14 ASSET READING test with a minimum score of 36 and ASSET WRITING test with a minimum score of 38 Or ENGL 0910 and ENGL 0930 with a minimum grade of A Or ENGL 0920 and ENGL 0930 with a minimum grade of A
