NORFOLK – There are hundreds of thousands of words in the English language and their definitions many not be the same to everyone. Six students, an administrator and an instructor from Northeast Community College found that out this fall during a visit to England.

NORFOLK - Registration for spring 2014 classes at Northeast Community College remains open through the first day of classes on Monday, January 13. Returning students may register weekdays from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. or online at www.northeast.edu through their My Northeast account.

SOUTH SIOUX CITY – Earning a college degree is important when a person is finding a job. But for two students who have taken classes at Northeast Community College, pursuing their education has taught them more than just learning a new skill, it has given them a better understanding of whom they are and what they want to do with their lives.

NORFOLK – Northeast Community College underwent a comprehensive evaluation visit this week by a team representing the Higher Learning Commission (HLC) of the North Central Association. Team leader, Dr. John Marr, dean of academic affairs at Cuyahoga Community College in Highland Hills, OH, was appreciative of Northeast’s preparation for the visit. “This is the best coordinated visit I have ever been on,” Marr said during an exit interview with college employees.

NORFOLK – International activities have increased over the past year at Northeast Community College. That will be quite evident over the next few weeks as several students are presently overseas while instructors from a college in Denmark will arrive in Norfolk about the same time they return.
