Drop or Add a Course

If you want to change schedules you may drop/add using the Student Information System. The system is available to drop/add through the first week of the spring and fall terms. For the summer terms, it is available through the third day of each session.

After the Student Information system closes for schedule changes, you must officially drop or add courses by filling out a Drop/Add Form. These forms are available from the Registrar’s Office or the student’s advisor.  If necessary, you should make changes in your schedules during the first week of the semester; however, you may drop or add classes after the first week.

Without special permission from the Vice President of Student Services or his/her designee and the instructor involved, you may not enroll in a class after it has been in session two weeks or twice the number of periods the class meets per week. You must drop classes by the last day to officially drop, dates are available on the academic calendar.

Veterans who drop courses which would bring their class load below the required level must reimburse the VA for payments received retroactive to the beginning of the term.

Refunds

Credit Classes: Tuition and Fees will be refunded according to the Tuition and Fees Refund Schedule.  Students must officially withdraw from college by submitting a completed withdrawal form to the Registrar’s Office.  Course and material fees are not refundable once a class begins, except when the college cancels a class.

Noncredit Course Refunds: Request for refunds of tuition for courses of eight or more sessions must be made through the Registrar, Education Center Director, or the Continuing Education Division before the second session.  For courses less than eight sessions, requests for refunds must be made prior to the first session.  Material fees are not refundable except when courses are canceled by the college.
