The minutes from last year’s business meeting were read and approved.
Treasurer John Miller handed out a copy of the treasurer’s report. The current balance of the checking account is $5,554.53.
Dale Johanson made a motion to award the top three finishers on the SML exam. The score used to determine the winners will be the larger of each student’s two scores (fall or spring). Awards for first, second and third place will be $75, $50 and $25, respectively. In the result of a tie, both students will receive duplicate awards. Motion carried.
The 2012 NEBMATYC conference will be in Grand Island on either April 15th or April 22nd. The date will be chosen so as not to conflict with the MAA regional conference. The NEBMATYC conference will be co-chaired by the CCC – Grand Island faculty.
Steven Wilson announced that there was a scholarship available for the 2011 AMATYC national conference in Austin. The recipient of the scholarship would get the early registration fee waived. Candidates should submit a request by September 1st, 2011. Members from the college hosting the 2012 NEBMATYC conference will be given priority.
