Three years later, the work is being recognized on a national level.

Northeast crowned four state champions and swept the competition in one category at the SkillsUSA State Leadership and Skills Conference held recently at the Century Link Center here.

  • Hawks softball players earn all conference honors

    by jamesc  5/5/2016 4:25:45 PM --  NORFOLK – Four members of the Northeast Community College softball team have been named to Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) All-Region teams.Sophomore catcher Leah Grovijohn, Dodge, and freshman outfielder Alyson Romey, Erie, CO, were named to the ICCAC All-Region Second Team, while sophomore pitcher Paige Schmidt, Osmond, and freshman third baseman Kianna Garza, Patterson, CA, earned positions on the Honorable Mention Team.

  • Nelson, Roth earn Lions Club theatre awards

  • Northeast students place third at NACTA Conference

    by jamesc  4/19/2016 1:57:15 PM --  CROOKSTON, MN – Northeast Community College students finished in third place in sweepstakes for two-year colleges at the 2016 North American Colleges and Teachers of Agriculture (NACTA) Judging Conference held at the University of Minnesota – Crookston. Northeast was one of 12 community colleges and 19 university teams to compete in the April 14-16 conference.

  • Northeast students named to PTK All Nebraska Team

    by jamesc  4/19/2016 11:55:49 AM --  LINCOLN – Four Northeast Community College students were recognized recently in Lincoln for being named to the 2016 Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) All-Nebraska Academic Team. Cedric Biteghe Bi Ndong, Libreville, Gabon, Africa, Ada Buenrostro, Sioux City, IA, Brooke Gettman, Norfolk, and Ron Nichols, Norfolk, joined 25 other all-state team members from Nebraska’s five other community colleges in a ceremony at the Cornhusker Hotel.

  • Northeast seeks Ag-Ceptional Woman nominations

Northeast Community College recognizes the vital role that women play in agriculture and honors one individual each year during its AG-ceptional Women’s Conference.

  • Murray Named All American

  • CROP-IT is a national finalist in Community College Innovation Challenge
