  • Award winning film to be screened at Northeast

    by jamesc  9/29/2015 11:02:07 AM --  NORFOLK – Northeast Community College will observe Hispanic Heritage Month in October with the screening of a special, award winning film. “Homeland” will be shown on Wednesday, October 14, at 2 p.m. in the Cox Activities Center Theatre on the Norfolk campus. A question and answer session with Fanny Véliz, actor, writer, director and producer of the film, will be held following the screening.

  • National Depression Screening Day at Northeast

The event, sponsored by the Northeast Nebraska Coalition for Suicide Prevention, Midtown Health Center and Northeast Community College, will be held on Wednesday, October 7, from 10:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m., in Hawks Landing, in the upper level of the Student Center on Northeast’s Norfolk campus.

  • Slam poetry event to be held at Northeast

  • Welding students visit Norfolk manufacturer

    by jamesc  9/23/2015 10:10:58 AM --  NORFOLK - Thirty-five students in Northeast Community College’s welding program visited a manufacturing facility in Norfolk recently. The students, who are part of Instructor John Knapp’s welding program, toured EBM’s Norfolk facility to learn more about the day to day functions of the company. The tour, led by plant employees, included a history of three EBM companies – EBM Construction, EBM Manufacturing and Pro Crane, as well as a first-hand look at products manufactured, demonstrations of equipment used in the plant and a question and answer question.

  • Northeast to observe MFG DAY

Manufacturing Day (MFG DAY) will be held on Thursday, October 1, from 4-8 p.m. in the Applied Technology building on the Norfolk campus.

  • Northeast to observe National Literacy Week

An open house will be held on Thursday, September 24, to explain the services and tools utilized in the program. It will be held from 10 a.m.-2 p.m., in the Maclay building, Room 190, on the Norfolk campus.

  • Ag-Ceptional Women's Conference set at Northeast

    by jamesc  9/18/2015 5:20:31 PM --  NORFOLK – Early registration is encouraged for anyone who plans to attend Northeast Community College’s annual AG-ceptional Women’s Conference. This year’s event will be held Friday, November 20, from 8 a.m. – 5p.m., in the Lifelong Learning Center on Northeast’s campus in Norfolk. Advance registration, which is $38, is now open on the Northeast Community College website.
