  • Northeast's McCarthy to chair Police Standards Advisory Council

Matt McCarthy assumed the chair position in January after his election by fellow council members.

  • Media Arts captures Winter Storm Kayla

    by jamesc  2/5/2016 4:50:43 PM --  NORFOLK – The recent storm that hit the Norfolk area was a perfect opportunity for two media arts instructors at Northeast Community College in Norfolk to use their equipment. Brian Anderson, broadcasting instructor, and Timothy Miller, audio recording technology and digital cinema instructor, and students set up a GoPro camera in the window of the Broadcasting Department’s Newsroom in the Cox Activities Center to capture Winter Storm Kayla as it moved onto to the Norfolk campus.

The class performed a skit, shared holiday memories, sang songs, and exchanged gifts with residents as part of their coursework.

Northeast’s Health Division sponsored the event.

  • Northeast HVAC instructors earn top educator credentials

Paul Bailey and John Nelson successfully completed a series of exams to earn Certified Master HVACR Educator (CMHE) credentials from HVAC Excellence, a non-profit organization serving the HVACR industry.
