  • Northeast Celebrates Success of O'Neill Extended Campus Campaign

    by jamesc  6/10/2014 9:07:52 PM --  O’NEILL – Northeast Community College board members, administration, local dignitaries and others on Tuesday celebrated reaching the goal of a capital campaign to construct a new extended campus here that will not only offer college transfer course work, but provide technical skill training and the opportunity for area residents to pursue upper level undergraduate and graduate level courses and programs. The "Celebration of Success” was held in the O’Neill Community Center.

In addition to the Pinning Ceremony, two associate degree nursing and two practical nursing student were presented the Essence of Nursing Award for their consistent academic effort, caring actions, positive motivation toward classroom learning and clinical experience, and professional behaviors.

However, a gift from an elderly, local resident demonstrates that individual contributions are just as important to the success of the drive.

She is among several former Northeast Community College students who are thrilled the College is working to construct a new extended campus facility in the Holt County community. “I know that for me personally, having the option to complete my nursing degree through the Northeast extended campus played a big part in my husband and I in moving back to the O'Neill area.”

Alex Dredge had some help with his one over 73 after he shot a hole-in-one on hole number four.

  • Holt Co. Visitors Committee Contributes $50,000 To O'Neill Campaign

    by jamesc  8/26/2013 4:26:47 PM --  O’NEILL – The campaign to raise $2.5 million for a new Northeast Community College extended campus in O’Neill has received another significant financial shot in the arm. The Holt County Visitors Committee has contributed $50,000 towards the project that will see a new complex constructed on Highway 275, next to the Farm Credit Services of America building in O’Neill.
