O’NEILL – Northeast Community College board members, administration, local dignitaries and others on Tuesday celebrated reaching the goal of a capital campaign to construct a new extended campus here that will not only offer college transfer course work, but provide technical skill training and the opportunity for area residents to pursue upper level undergraduate and graduate level courses and programs. The "Celebration of Success” was held in the O’Neill Community Center.

NORFOLK - Associate degree nursing and practical nursing students received their nursing pins in a special ceremony Thursday evening at Northeast Community College in Norfolk. In addition to the Pinning Ceremony, two associate degree nursing and two practical nursing student were presented the Essence of Nursing Award for their consistent academic effort, caring actions, positive motivation toward classroom learning and clinical experience, and professional behaviors.

O’NEILL – Ron and Vicki Cork of O’Neill understand the value of a college education and have given of their time and treasure to see that the residents of North Central Nebraska have the same opportunities they had early in their marriage.

LINCOLN – The president of Northeast Community College appeared before the Nebraska Legislature’s Executive Board Thursday, speaking in favor of a bill that would allow a portion of land on the Norfolk Regional Center (NRC) campus to be donated to the College.

O’NEILL – Many people are contributing very generously to the Northeast Community College Extended Campus Campaign this holiday season, but nothing is more heartwarming than a recent gift from O’Neill Elementary School students.

O’NEILL – The campaign to raise $2.5 million for a new Northeast Community College extended campus in O’Neill has received another significant financial shot in the arm. The Holt County Visitors Committee has contributed $50,000 towards the project that will see a new complex constructed on Highway 275, next to the Farm Credit Services of America building in O’Neill.
