O’NEILL – A number of sessions will be held during Northeast Community College’s 2016 O’Neill Health Conference. Upon completion of the conference, participants will identify strategies for effectively assisting patients with healthy lifestyle changes to improve patient outcomes. The conference will be held Tuesday, June 28, from 8:30 a.m-4 p.m. in the O’Neill Community Center, 501 S. 4th Street. Registration begins at 7:45 a.m.

NORFOLK - Administering CPR to a mannequin, suturing chicken breasts and touring a life flight rescue helicopter may not be typical summer camp activities, but for fifteen high school students at Northeast Community College’s Health and Wellness Summer Career Camp recently, it was all part of the fun.

NORFOLK – Sixty-five associate degree nursing and practical nursing students received their nursing pins during a special ceremony recently at Northeast Community College in Norfolk. During the ceremony, the graduating nursing students received their pin from family members or a close friend who has helped them along their journey.

NORFOLK - Northeast Community College will host a summer camp later this month for high school students interested in pursuing careers in healthcare. Health and Wellness Summer Career Camp will be held Tuesday, May 24, through Thursday, May 26, on the Norfolk campus. Camp meets 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

In an effort to increase the number of registered nurses in Nebraska with bachelor’s degrees, the University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Nursing will provide early, guaranteed admission in the registered nurse (RN) to the bachelor of science in nursing (BSN) program for qualified students enrolled in associate degree nursing (ADN) programs at the six community colleges in the state, including Northeast Community College.
