NORFOLK, Neb. - The Northeast Community College men's basketball team dropped a pair of home games while hosting the Hawks Classic.
Northeast Community College men's basketball team dropped a pair of home games while hosting the Hawks Classic. Despite getting 39 points and 16 rebounds from Cameron Adderley (Nassau, Bahamas) the Hawks fell to Iowa Lakes Community College 98-91. Northeast had a six point lead with seven minutes remaining in the game but could not hold off a late streak from ILCC on Friday Night (11/11). K.J. Bluford (Plymouth, MN) and Jacquard Hagan (Ft. Meyers, FL) added 15 and 11 points respectively.
Northeast looked to rebound Saturday afternoon hosting Iowa Central Community College. Once again, the Hawks battled back and fourth with the Tritons before Iowa Central pulled away for a 60-42 victory. K.J. Bluford led the hawks in scoring with 16 points. Eric Tucker (Omaha, NE) recorded his first career double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds, he also added six blocks. "We played very well at times this weekend," stated Head Coach Dan Anderson.
The Northeast men head to Wahpeton, North Dakota this weekend to play in the NDSCS Classic.
