Busy week for the Northeast Men’s Basketball

by adamb  11/6/2011 6:07:53 PM --  NORFOLK, Neb. - The men's basketball team at Northeast Community College has launched its 2011-2012 campaign.

The team will try to bounce back from a 78-70 loss in its  home opener against North Dakota State College of Science on November 1. The Hawks had a 19-point lead in the first half against the ranked Wildcats but could not manage a victory. 

 Next up for the Hawks is a trip to Iowa Western Community College in Council Bluffs, Iowa, on Tuesday, November 8th. 

 “We have had a chance to learn from our home opener," stated Head Coach Dan Anderson. "This week allowed us to polish some of our mistakes and let us get healthy.”  

Following Tuesday’s contest with  Iowa Western Community College, Northeast will host the Hawks Classic Friday and Saturday, November 11-12.

The time and schedule are as follows:

 Friday, November 11th

4 p.m. - Central vs. Iowa Central
8 p.m. - Northeast vs. Iowa Lakes
2 p.m. - North Platte vs. DMACC
6 p.m. - Northeast vs. Iowa Lakes


Saturday, November 12th


 2 p.m. - Central vs. Iowa Lakes

 6 p.m. - Northeast vs. Iowa Central


12 p.m. - North Platte vs. Iowa Lakes

 4 p.m. - Northeast vs.DMACC
