Northeast Community College student Kat Zenz, Omaha, (right) writes the word “Love” on the arm of fellow student Maxine Schieffer, Crofton, in the Hawk Spot cafeteria in the College’s Student Center.
"To Write Love on Her Arms” (TWLOHA) is a national movement dedicated to presenting hope and finding help for people struggling with depression, self-injury and thoughts of suicide. Members of the Northeast Nebraska Suicide Prevention Coalition were also on hand distributing information. Zenz and Schieffer were among members of the Northeast Student Activities Council to write “Love” on the arms of people as they entered or exited the cafeteria over the noon hour Wednesday.
