The College is now offering hundreds of online courses on a number of topics from accounting to web design.

  • Sullivan Named to Colorado All-Tournament Team

    by jamesc  9/25/2014 12:51:25 PM --  NORFOLK – A leader on the Northeast Community College volleyball team has been named to Northeastern Junior College’s 31st Annual Pizza Hut Invitational All-Tournament Team. Brittany Sullivan, Allen, recorded 66 kills, six ace serves and 73 digs in the tournament two weeks ago in Sterling, CO. The Hawks went 2-2 in the tournament.

    by jamesc  9/25/2014 7:54:30 AM --  CRESTON, IA – The Northeast Community College volleyball team picked up its second win in as many nights Wednesday. The Hawks defeated Southwestern Community College here, 25-19, 25-21, 25-20. Northeast is now 12-6.

  • Northeast Students Pull Together for Pilger

    by jamesc  9/24/2014 10:04:52 AM --  NORFOLK – Even though the more immediate focus may be off the Pilger disaster, the effort to rebuild the Stanton County village will last for quite some time. Most of the community took a direct hit from a tornado June 16 that forever changed the lives of Northeast Community College’s service area residents. Much of the rubble has been hauled away, but for many of those who have decided to stay, they have nowhere to keep their remaining possessions. That’s where a Norfolk church has joined forces with Northeast Community College.

  • Hawks Beats Southeast in Four Sets

    by jamesc  9/24/2014 10:03:28 AM --  NORFOLK – Northeast Community College won the opening two sets of its match Tuesday night against Southeast Community College here, but the Hawks needed two more sets to seal the victory. The scores were 25-23, 25-22, 19-25, 29-27.

  • Northeast Competes at Midland Invitational

    by jamesc  9/24/2014 10:01:55 AM --  FREMONT – The Northeast Community College golf team finished 14th at Wednesday’s Midland University Invitational at the Fremont Country Club here. The Hawks shot a team total 319. Hastings College won with a 12 over -296 followed by Iowa Wesleyan’s 300.

  • Hawks Claim Ryder Cup Title

The Hawks claimed the Iowa Central Community College Ryder Cup title Sunday at the Ft. Dodge (IA) Country Club. This was a four team tournament with a unique format that featured three, two person teams that played for a combined score and then they were awarded points by how they finished. Each team played three different formats: scramble, alternate shot and best ball.

  • Northeast to Sponsor Baby Boomers & Beyond in So. Sioux City

    by jamesc  9/19/2014 3:42:20 PM --  SOUTH SIOUX CITY – Northeast Community College in South Sioux City will hold its popular and entertaining seminar series for retirees in October. Baby Boomers and Beyond will be held Tuesday, October 14, from 9:30 a.m.-3 p.m. at the Northeast Community College Extended Campus, 1001 College Way in South Sioux City. While pre-registration is required, the event is free to those who attend. A light lunch will be provided.

  • California Psychiatrist to Speak on Gay/Lesbian Issues

This year’s event will be held Friday, November 21, from 8 a.m. – 5p.m. in the Lifelong Learning Center on Northeast’s campus in Norfolk. Advance registration is now open with a cost of $38, which includes lunch.

  • Hawks Volleyball Team Picks Up Road Win

    by jamesc  9/18/2014 8:38:29 AM --  IOWA FALLS, IA – The Northeast Community College volleyball team picked up a road win Wednesday night, a four set victory over Ellsworth Community College here. The scores were 25-16, 25-21, 21-25, 25-22. With the win, Northeast is now 9-6.
