  • Forbes Elected New SGA President at Northeast

    by jamesc  3/6/2015 10:46:47 AM --  NORFOLK – Officers have been elected to lead the Student Government Association (SGA) at Northeast Community College here during the 2015-16 academic year. Corby Forbes, of Brunswick, has been elected president while Erika Rupprecht, of Clarkson, is the new vice president. Kirsten Cattell, of Plainview, will serve as secretary.

  • Hawks' Speech Team Competes at South Dakota Event

    by jamesc  3/5/2015 4:11:02 PM --  NORFOLK – Members of the Northeast Community College speech team, under the direction of Terry Nelson, competed recently at the Bunny Bop Tournament on the campus of South Dakota State University (SDSU) in Brookings. The second half of the two-day swing was hosted by Gustavus Adolphus College of St. Peter, MN.

  • Northeast Robotics Team Competes in Minnesota Event

    by jamesc  3/5/2015 2:47:28 PM --  NORFOLK – The Northeast Community College robotics team competed in the Vex U Regional Robotics competition held recently at St. Cloud State in St. Cloud, MN. The event served as a United States regional qualifier competition for the right to compete at the VEX U World Championship in Louisville, KY, in April. The “Geek” team from Northeast was one of ten in the competition.

The Student Nurses Association (SNA) donated $1,000 to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital as part of the 15th Annual US 92 St. Jude Radiothon.

  • Hawks Men Beat Iowa Western; Advance to Region XI Championship

With the victory, the Hawks (25-6) advance to the Region XI Championship game this weekend.
