The Physical Therapist Assistant program is an integrated two-year program. Students enroll through open admission as a Pre-PTA. The first semester of coursework consists of general education and preparatory courses. You must complete an application as part of a competitive selection process to be considered for the remainder of the program. See physical therapist assistant admission requirements. Transfer students will be considered.
Program graduates will be eligible to take the National Physical Therapy Examination for PTAs. Many clinical sites require background checks on any students completing their clinical experience at their sites. You will be required to submit to a criminal background check before enrolling in the PTA program. Enrollment in this program is limited and based on the date of completed requirements for acceptance into this program.
