Program Information
English 2012-2013
A concentration in English will prepare you to enter the job market in a variety of occupations that demand effective expression or to transfer credits toward a bachelor’s degree in English at a four-year college or university. This course of study is a good preparation for continued graduate or professional training in areas such as English, law, political science/government, public administration, psychology, counseling, communication, and religious studies.
To enhance your learning, we offer a Visiting Writers Series, during which several recognized writers offer readings each semester. Classes that you can choose from include a wide range of literature offerings and creative writing classes where you can hone your skills and present work publicly. A yearly literary magazine features original work by Northeast students and offers cash prizes for the best works.
