Diesel Technology - Truck 2012-2013
The diesel technology truck concentration will teach you the basic knowledge and skills needed to service and repair diesel and gas-powered equipment. In addition to classroom study, students receive over 1,000 hours of lab training.
You'll learn to repair and test diesel fuel systems, engines, refrigeration, electronic control systems, power trains, brakes, electrical systems, suspension, and air conditioning systems, as well as gaining experience with various hand tools and test equipment. Related courses in math, welding, computers, communications, human relations, and personal and business finance are included to prepare students for the world of work and to enhance technical skills.
Classes are held Monday through Thursday, allowing for a three-day weekend. Wayne State College will accept up to 66 credit hours from Northeast to apply to a bachelor of science degree in technology. (Enrollment in this program is limited and based on the date of completed requirements for acceptance into this program. )

We also have an established summer internship program that will provide you with on-the-job training. This is a great way to network with future employers.
