Broadcasting - Radio TV 2012-2013
We're the only two-year college in the state that combines complete, entry-level radio and television training so you can learn twice the skills in half the time. You will develop skills in all phases of broadcasting from on-air to production, script writing, sales, and broadcast operations. Our new facilities are designed to make student learning and hands-on experience more productive.
You’ll use fully-equipped radio, television, sound recording, and video production facilities as a student in the broadcasting, audio, and video production program at Northeast Community College. Northeast broadcasting students build hands-on skills by creating radio and TV programming which is distributed on Northeast's cable TV channel, KHWK/Hawk TV. As a graduate, your skills will include radio production and announcing, television production and announcing, news writing and gathering, scriptwriting, station operations, and broadcast sales. Career opportunities include audio/video operations, control room technician, station manager, radio and TV announcer, journalist, reporter, and broadcast technician.
