Physical Therapist Assistant 2011-2012
The Physical Therapist Assistant program at Northeast will prepare you for a career where you will work under the direction of a physical therapist in providing patient treatment. As a public college, you’ll find our tuition is much more affordable than most private colleges, and you’ll receive the finest training in the region including over 600 hours of clinical labs instruction that will prepare you to work in a variety of settings. Our program has had a 100% pass rate on the National State Board Examination on the first attempt the last 5 years. The National pass rate for first attempts is 82%. The program has a 100% job placement rate in the last 7 years.
The Physical Therapist Assistant program is an integrated two-year program. Students enroll through open admission as a Pre-PTA. The first semester of coursework consists of general education and preparatory courses. You must complete an application as part of a competitive selection process to be considered for the remainder of the program. See physical therapist assistant admission requirements. Program graduates will be eligible to take the National Physical Therapy Examination for PTA’s. Many clinical sites require background checks on any students completing their clinical experience at their sites.
