Drafting - Industrial Facility Drafting 2011-2012
The industrial facility drafting program trains you to develop detailed working drawings for use in the construction of large commercial and industrial facilities. The program covers the drafting fundamentals for creating the drawings necessary for the utility piping, electrical, mechanical systems necessary to complete the facility. Other areas covered are preparing material-takeoffs and cost estimates, construction surveying, developing building information models (BIM). After graduating you may find employment with architectural and engineering firms, general contractors, facility and building maintenance engineering departments.
Enrollment into this program is limited and is based on the date of application.
Before admission to the program, you will need to attain the following minimum entrance scores: COMPASS: Math Pre-Algebra Test 30, Reading 60, Writing 40; ASSET: Math Numerical Skills Test 37, Reading 35, Writing 38; ACT: Math 16, Reading 14, English 14.
