Basic Auto Body Theory I & Lab

This course has been redesigned and updated to provide an opportunity for students to learn and adopt methods to restore vehicles. Topics include panel adjustment, rust repair, dent repair, sheet metal replacement, priming, sanding, painting, and buffing. Must register for theory and lab class.

Digital Camera I

Are you considering buying a digital camera but don\'t know what to look for? Or maybe you have a digital camera, but aren\'t sure how to make it work? If so, this class is for you! Instructor will discuss the different types of digital cameras available, how to choose a digital camera, and how to get started with your digital point-and-shoot camera. Students will learn how to choose, load, and unload batteries and memory cards, how to take basic digital photos, how to transfer photos from the camera to the computer, how to view photos, and how to order prints. If you already own a digital point-and-shoot camera, please bring with you.

Digital Camera II

This class is intended for owners of digital point-and-shoot cameras who have developed basic skills and are looking to use their camera more effectively. Students will learn how to archive photos, including burning them to a disk and renaming the photo files. Students will learn how to use the self-timer and movie modes. Various skills for taking good photos will be covered, such as white balance, common mistakes, basic photo composition, and tips for taking various types of photos. Discussions will include camera accessories, basic photo editing, and posting photos on internet sites. Please bring your camera with you to class.

Motorcycle Rider Course

The Motorcycle Rider Course includes five(5) hours of classroom instruction and ten (10) hours of riding instruction. It begins with the basics, such as turning, shifting, and braking. Then it moves on to more advanced street riding strategies. We provide the motorcycles. Professionally trained instructors teach in the classroom and then coach riders in a controlled riding area. If you are under 18, a parent or legal guardian must sign the required waiver form. In order to pass, you must attend all classroom and riding sessions and pass the knowledge and skills test. Fri. 6:30 pm -10:00 pm, Sat. 7:50 am -5:30 pm, Sun. 7:50 am -4:30 pm. For additional information contact donnaa@northeast.edu or call 402.844.7216.

P.O.P. Driver Training

This is a Provisional Operators Permit Driver Training course. Individuals need to be 14-17 years old. Students will acquire the basic skills to operate a vehicle. At least one parent/guardian must be present for the first part of the first class. Bring Learner\'s or School permit first day of class. The classroom portion will meet June 2- June 8, 2013, Sunday-Friday 4-7:00 pm. and Saturday 9-12:00 pm. The driving experience will be arranged with the student between June 8-July 6, 2013. 20 hours of classroom and at least 6 hours of driving are required.
