Basic Auto Body Theory I & Lab

This course has been redesigned and updated to provide an opportunity for students to learn and adopt methods to restore vehicles. Topics include panel adjustment, rust repair, dent repair, sheet metal replacement, priming, sanding, painting, and buffing. Must register for theory and lab class.

Basic CDL Training & Lab

The Basic CDL course at Northeast Community College is designed to prepare each student for completing the minimum requirements necessary to acquire their Commercial Driver\'s License. At completion of class students will be able to complete third party drive test, demonstrate how to do a thorough vehicle inspection of the tractor and trailer including brake adjustments, and demonstrate safe and courteous driving practices. Must register for both theory and lab classes. June theory class 30276 and lab is 302788 or 30278. July theory class 40131 and lab is 40132 or 40133.

Boiler Fundamentals I

This class will provide general boiler overview, fundamentals of boilers, combustion, heat transfer, boiler auxiliary equipment, boiler styles and systems, boiler standards and codes, boiler inspection, fireside maintenance, steam boiler water treatment, lower water maintenance and testing, burner and heat exchanger efficiency.

Motorcycle Rider Course

The Motorcycle Rider Course includes five(5) hours of classroom instruction and ten (10) hours of riding instruction. It begins with the basics, such as turning, shifting, and braking. Then it moves on to more advanced street riding strategies. We provide the motorcycles. Professionally trained instructors teach in the classroom and then coach riders in a controlled riding area. If you are under 18, a parent or legal guardian must sign the required waiver form. In order to pass, you must attend all classroom and riding sessions and pass the knowledge and skills test. P.O.P. Driver Training

This is a Provisional Operators Permit Driver Training course. Individuals need to be 14-17 years old. Students will acquire the basic skills to operate a vehicle. The mandatory parent or guardian meeting is Monday, May 14, at 7:00 pm. in UL 116. At least one parent or guardian and student must be present at meeting. Bring Learner\'s or School permit to the meeting. Book will be given with first assignment assigned. The classroom portion will meet June 4-June 9, 2012, Mon.-Fri. 5-8:00 pm. and Saturday, 8-1:00 pm. The driving experience will be arranged with the student between June 9-July 8, 2012. 20 hours of classroom and at least 6 hours of driving are required. Professional Truck Driving

Northeast Community College\'s Professional Truck Driver Training program is an intensive six-week course scheduled from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Also, around the fifth week of class students go for night drives and long runs. This entails being gone for a week, overnights and 14 hours days. Students will learn to operate articulated vehicles in a training environment that includes driving on city streets, two-lane, and interstate highways. Tuition and fees for six-week program are $1,995. Books and training materials are not included.
